In 2008, Bruce, Terry, and Smith founded Smith Marine Offshore (SMO) to connect European and American marine and offshore companies with the Chinese market through innovative marketing and sustainable strategies.
Building on early success, Richard, Louis, and Mr. Yao later joined to establish North Sea Offshore Technology (NSO) in 2012. NSO has since excelled in three key service areas:
Aluminum Structures: NSO designs, engineers, and manufactures helidecks, bridges, and access systems in compliance with international standards. With a significant track record, more than 120 helidecks have now been successfully delivered across multiple countries, securing a substantial share of China’s helideck market.
Turnkey Accommodation Solutions: NSO offers premium EPCI solutions, including Accommodation Turnkey, LQ Turnkey, Unit Cabin, and Modular Cabin Services, with 12 completed projects and ongoing expansion.
Trading & Brokerage: The firm provides efficient trading and brokerage services designed for the Chinese market.
